Fig. 1: CTU Box Robot Smart Warehousing System Overview
In the context of accelerating digital transformation across global supply chains, warehousing logistics is undergoing a profound shift from labor-intensive models to intelligent automation. Yet many enterprises still rely on the traditional "person-to-goods" approach, where workers repeatedly travel between shelves, leading to location errors, inventory discrepancies, and vertical space waste. Chengdu Beaver Intelligent Technology has developed the CTU (Container Transfer Unit) Box Robot based on proprietary core algorithms, enabling automated storage and retrieval, precision positioning, and high-density shelf compatibility to help enterprises maximize space, boost efficiency, and achieve zero-error inventory control.
Warehouse staff must travel to individual bin locations one by one according to pick lists. Daily walking distances can reach tens of kilometers. Manual operations inevitably lead to mis-picks and misplaced items, with error rates typically ranging from 0.3% to 1%—unacceptable for high-precision industries.
Limited by manual picking height, traditional shelving rarely exceeds 2 meters, and aisles wider than 2 meters must be reserved. Vast upper-level space sits completely idle, keeping space utilization below 40% and directly inflating warehouse rental costs.
As manufacturing shifts toward flexibility and customization, multi-SKU small-batch scenarios have become the norm. Manual systems struggle to accommodate hundreds of mixed SKUs, resulting in chronic stockpiling, difficult inventory counts, and product expiration issues.

Fig. 2: Traditional vs. Smart Warehousing — Core Difference Comparison
The CTU (Container Transfer Unit) Box Robot adopts a "goods-to-person" operational philosophy. Through autonomous navigation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and precision positioning, it automates bin storage, retrieval, and transport. The robot operates within dense shelf environments up to 5 meters high, requiring zero manual intervention.
Core Value: CTU upgrades "person-to-goods" to "goods-to-person", boosting storage density to 85%+ and achieving zero-error inventory control. |
By eliminating manual aisles, the system enables maximum-density shelf layouts. Vertical space utilization reaches 85% or higher, and floor area is reduced by over 50% for the same storage capacity—saving enterprises hundreds of thousands in annual warehouse rental costs in tier-one cities.
Integrating laser obstacle avoidance and precision positioning technology, the system achieves millimeter-level accuracy. Per-bin load capacity exceeds 50kg, with compatibility for multiple bin sizes and support for both single-SKU and multi-SKU mixed storage modes.
Each unit stably completes 30–35 bin operations per hour and supports 24/7 continuous operation. Multiple robots coordinate through intelligent scheduling algorithms to avoid congestion and empty runs, maximizing overall throughput.

Core Technical Parameter Comparison
Metric | Traditional | CTU Smart |
Shelf Height | ≤ 2m | ≤ 5m |
Space Utilization | < 40% | ≥ 85% |
Picking Error Rate | 0.3%–1% | ≈ 0% |
Throughput/Unit | Limited | 30–35 bins/hr |
Inventory Accuracy | < 97% | ≥ 99.9% |
Through WiFi, optical communication, and WAPI secure protocols, CTU achieves millisecond-level data synchronization with WMS systems. Every storage and retrieval operation automatically updates bin location and quantity data, supporting FIFO (First In, First Out) management. Anomalies trigger automatic alerts to management personnel, and inventory counts are fully automated—achieving inventory accuracy of 99.9%+ and truly "zero-error inventory."

The CTU Box Robot has demonstrated exceptional value across multiple industries:
• Electronic Components: Precision positioning and multi-SKU mixing effectively resolve classification challenges for diverse, small-form-factor parts.
• Pharmaceuticals: Automated FIFO, batch tracking, and expiry alerts satisfy GSP compliance requirements while boosting operational efficiency.
• Auto Parts: High throughput and zero-error characteristics effectively support JIT (Just-In-Time) production models.
• Multi-SKU Small-Batch: Multi-format bin compatibility and flexible bin allocation meet the high-frequency inbound/outbound demands of e-commerce, R&D, and trading operations.
In an era of accelerating smart manufacturing and digital supply chains, warehouse automation has shifted from a "nice-to-have" to a strategic imperative. The CTU Box Robot—through high-density storage, precision positioning, intelligent scheduling, and deep WMS integration—is helping a growing number of enterprises achieve their warehousing upgrade goals of intelligence, high density, zero errors, and full control. Chengdu Heli Intelligent Technology will continue to advance smart warehousing technology, with proprietary algorithms as the core driver, delivering ever more efficient and precise warehousing solutions for our customers.
